What is covered by the insurance plan?

The insured media representative, his wife/husband, and two unmarried and dependent children up to the age of 21 will be covered under the insurance scheme as of the date of implementation.
Amount of insurance: The insurance holder’s / media representative’s personal accident insurance will be worth five lakhs. In addition, his dependents will be covered for medical expenses up to five lakhs under group mediclaim.
The Jharkhand State Journalist Health Insurance Scheme will last one year. Prior to the completion of the disease’s treatment, the media representative must complete all of the desired insurance actions for the new year.
In terms of the proposed insurance scheme, the insurance will be done annually by the lowest rate agency after obtaining quotations from the insurance company of the Government Public Sector Undertaking.
To use the insurance, the media representative must pay 20% of the annual premium via bank cheque or demand draught made payable to the Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Jharkhand.
The treatment or accident must be reported to the information and public relations department, as well as the district office of the insurance company, immediately or within a maximum of seven days.

Journalist Health and Accident Group Insurance Scheme Eligibility and Conditions

  • The applicant must be a Madhya Pradesh permanent resident.
  • This scheme will be available to communication representatives aged 21 to 70, as well as
  • previously insured journalists aged 21 to 80.
  • On payment of the prescribed premium, husband, wife, children (maximum of three unmarried) and parents can also be included in the scheme.
  • The Journalist Insurance Scheme will only cover children under the age of 25.
  • This policy only covers the original insured and not his dependents.
  • Except for certain diseases specified in the policy, hospitalisation for at least 24 hours is required.
  • Under this plan, room, board, and nursing expenses are covered up to 2% of the sum insured.
  • Only in the event of an accident will dental expenses be admissible.
  • The hospitalisation must be reported to the company / TPA as soon as possible.
  • The TPA listed on the policy will handle all claim processing.
  • Cashless treatment will be available in the listed network hospitals for the insured person, and expenses will be reimbursed for treatment in non-network hospitals.

How to Claim Coverage in the Jharkhand Media Journalist Health Insurance Scheme

The insured media representative’s personal accident insurance will be Rs. 5 lakh. This insurance policy will be valid for one year, with the option to renew every year. Simultaneously, the following provision has been made for claim:

  • Certificate of Death
