Punjab Ashirwad Scheme 2023 : Eligibility,Benefits,Goal,Budget,The Punjab state government recently implemented the Aashirwad Scheme, which distributes Rs. 51,000 as financial assistance for the marriage of any girl child in their state. Clearly, the State government has renamed the previously known shagun Scheme to this Ashirwad Scheme. This is the second increase in the number of schemes implemented by the Punjab state government.
They had previously increased the assistance amount from Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000 after taking over in 2017. All girls from scheduled castes (SC), backward classes (BC), and economically weaker sections (EWS) can now apply online for this scheme. Ashirwad Scheme’s Goal

Punjab Ashirwad Scheme Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for benefits under this Ashirwad Scheme, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Punjab.
- The applicant’s family must be below the poverty line (BPL). The applicant must be from a
- Scheduled Caste, a Backward Class, or another economically disadvantaged family.
Advantages of the Punjab Ashirwad Scheme 2023
- The Punjab government launched Punjab Ashirwad on December 30, 2022.
- If girls require financial assistance for marriage, they can apply for the Punjab Ashirwad programme; all they need to do is come from a designated community group in need of financial assistance.
- The financial aid payment will be deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts by DBT.
- Ladies from economically disadvantaged areas of society would receive Rs 15,000 in marriage assistance.
- About 10,873 girls from scheduled castes have received Rs 22 crores in benefits, while 8,209 girls from low-income families and other lower classes have received Rs 17 crores.

Online Application Instructions
- To apply for the scheme, applicants should go to the Punjab Seva Portal (PSP) official website.
- You must enter your username and password to access the portal.
- On the home page, select “Q Token” from the Operations menu.
- Then fill out the token entry form and click the Process Token button.
- You will be directed to a page where you must select the Search Profile option.
- Now, enter your registration number or applicant name into the search box and press the Submit button.
- You will be directed to the service form page, where you must fill out all of the required information.
- After that, go to the page’s service menu. You must upload your photo, fill out the service details, and then click the Submit button.
- You must upload all supporting documents and then click the Submit Process button.
- After completing the form, you will be given a reference number as a confirmation of the status of your application.

- Print this form and fill it out with all of the necessary information.
- Enter the bride’s name, gender, birth date, address, district, and pin code.
- Then Fill out the application form with a self-attested photograph.
- Enter the applicant’s phone number and email address, and complete all of the form’s questions.
- Attach all necessary documents, such as a cast certificate and an income certificate, and sign at the bottom of the form.
