- Any request or instruction received by the Bank through Internet Banking Services is referred to as an instruction.
- Other Demat Account Holders are those who are not the first named holder of the Demat Account.
- Online SBI refers to the Bank’s Internet Banking service.
- One Time Password (OTP) or SMS Password refers to a one-time 8-digit (or such other higher digits as the Bank may approve) pass code sent to a customer’s mobile number on the Bank’s record.
- Personal Information is information about the User that is submitted to the Bank in connection with the Internet Banking Service. The website is www.onlinesbi.sbi.
- A third-party product is any product or service offered by a party other than the Bank via the site or the Bank acting as an intermediary.
- A user is a registered customer of the bank who uses the Internet Banking Services.
SERVICES FOR SBI INTERNET BANKING
The Bank will make every effort to provide services to the User via Internet Banking such as inquiry about the balance in his/her account(s), details about transactions, statement of account, request for issue of cheque-books, and request for transfer of funds.
Transfer of funds between accounts of the same User and other accounts, international fund transfer, creation of e-TDR/e-STDR/e-RD, Mobile Top Up, DTH Recharge, Utility Bill Payments, view income tax statement (Form 26AS), Home Loan Interest Certificate, TDS enquiry, generation of Form 15G/H, Overdraft against Fixed Deposit, payment of Central and State Government taxes, payment of school/college/university fees, and many other services as determined by the Bank These facilities will be made available in stages at the Bank’s discretion. The Bank may, at its sole discretion, add or remove Internet Banking Services from its offering without prior notice or explanation. The availability or non-availability of a specific service may be communicated via the Bank’s website, written communication, or any other means deemed appropriate by the bank. The Bank shall use technology reasonably available to it to ensure the security of and prevent unauthorized access to the Internet Banking Services. The User agrees not to use or allow others to use the Internet Banking Service or any related service for any illegal or improper purpose.
In the first instance, the Bank would assign the User a User-id and a Password (to be used at the time of login). When accessing Internet Banking Services for the first time, the User must change the User-Id and password assigned by the Bank.
As a precautionary measure, the User must change the password as frequently as possible, at least once every 90 days. In addition to the User-id and Password, the Bank may, at its discretion, advise the User to use any other method of authentication, including but not limited to smart cards, One Time SMS Password, and/or Digital certification issued by the Bank, licensed or approved Certifying Authorities, or vendors.
The User shall not attempt or allow others to attempt to access account information stored in the Bank’s computers and computer networks via any means other than the Internet Banking Services.
APPLICATION FOR INTERNET BANKING SERVICES

USER-ID AND PASSWORD:
(A) Resetting of User-id/Password
If a user forgets their User-id, they can retrieve it by clicking on the ‘Forgot Username’ link on the OnlineSBI login page. If a user forgets his or her login password, he or she can reset it online by clicking the ‘Forgot Login Password’ link on the OnlineSBI login page. The selection of a new password does not constitute the start of a new contract.
(B) Non-liability of the bank in case of Compromise of User-id and Password
The User agrees and acknowledges that Bank shall in no way be held responsible or liable if the User incurs any loss as a result of compromise of User-id and password by the User himself or User has failed to follow the Internet Banking Service instructions as published by the Bank on the site from time to time. User agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless Bank in respect of the same.
(C) Locking of User-id
Internet Banking Password / User-id will be locked after a certain number of incorrect attempts, up to a certain number (currently three failed attempts) as determined by the Bank from time to time. The same will be available the following day. In an emergency, the User-id/Password can be unlocked online by changing the login password using the ‘Forgot Login Password’ link on the OnlineSBI Login page.
(D) Deactivation of User-id
e Bank reserves the right to deactivate an Internet Banking User-id if it has not been used for a specified period of time. In addition, the Bank reserves the right to deactivate the User’s internet banking login due to unsatisfactory account Behaviors.
