Chhattisgarh Indira Van Mitan Yojana 2023. The Chhattisgarh government will launch Indira Van Mitan Yojana, a new scheme aimed at the development and upliftment of forest dwellers. The main goal of this new scheme is to provide a source of income for forest dwellers in the state and to make people and villages living in the forest self-sufficient. On the occasion of World Tribal Day on August 9, 2020, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel announced the launch of this new Indira Van Mitan Yojana.
Under the Indira Van Mitan Yojana, groups of youths will be formed in 10,000 villages in Chhattisgarh’s tribal areas to develop forest-based products and provide a market for them, and forest dwellers will conduct all economic activities. Priority will be given to forest youth in these groups of 10 to 15 members. A Forest Produce Processing Center will also be established in each tribal development block under the scheme.
What is the Indira Van Mitan Yojana
Indira Van Mitan Yojana was launched on World Tribal Day with the goal of making forest dwellers and Vananchal villages self-sufficient in the state. Indira Van Mitan Yojana Highlights
- A group of 10 to 15 young people will be formed in each of Chhattisgarh’s 10,000 villages as part of the plan.
