Roles & Responsibilities for District Educational Officers (DEOs) in Training Implementation
The District Educational Officer (DEO) will act as the Chairman of the training program, ensuring its smooth execution. They will coordinate with DIET Principals, District Academic Monitoring Officers (AMOs), Girl Child Development Officers (GCDOs), Inclusive Education Coordinators (IECo), Alternative School Coordinators (ALSCo), and clerical staff in the DEO office to facilitate effective training for Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs). This collaboration is crucial for managing logistics, addressing challenges, and ensuring that the training achieves its objectives.
Teacher Allocation & Scheduling
- DEOs must ensure that SGTs are deputed for training spell-wise from their respective districts.
- No teacher should attend the training more than once.
- AMOs overseeing training venues must handle logistics, arrangements, and venue requirements promptly.
- The district-level proceedings for participant lists must be issued for each spell, based on the state-received list from respective ASOs.
Participant List & District Rotation
- Given that 34,000 SGTs from 13 erstwhile districts are involved, participant lists should be released at the district level for each spell based on ASO-provided data.
- The responsibility for each training spell should rotate among district officials mapped to the respective venue.
- Example: In the Srikakulam venue, officials from Srikakulam district will handle the first spell, followed by Manyam district for the second spell, and so forth.
- This rotation system ensures equal distribution of responsibilities across all training venues.
Venue Management & Responsibilities
Each venue will have four in-charges responsible for:
- Vendor coordination
- Food arrangements
- Technical support
- Accommodation, stationery, and sanitation
AP SALT FLN 8th & 9th Spell Training Schedule, Venues Preparatory Meetings & Monitoring
- Concerned RJDs and DEOs must conduct preparatory meetings with AMOs, ASOs, GCDOs, IECo, ALSCo, and MEOs to ensure that participants reach their mapped venues without fail.
- A monitoring committee must be formed at every venue with mapped district officials to:
- Supervise facilities
- Observe training sessions
Technology & Infrastructure Setup
- IFP Panels should be installed in classrooms by District Nodal Officers (DNOs) in coordination with IFP vendors.
- DEOs must follow up to ensure successful installation.
- District Resource Persons (DRPs) should be allocated to each classroom, while:
- 1 KRP & 1 MEO will oversee each venue.
Teacher Training Guidelines
- Single-teacher schools: DEOs must not depute teachers from single-teacher schools for training. Instead, state officials will provide an alternative plan for their training.
- Physical Education Teachers (PETs): Each venue must have 4 PETs (2 male & 2 female) for conducting extracurricular activities.
- Mobile Phones Policy: Phones should be kept in silent mode and deposited in classrooms; they may only be used during breaks. AP SALT FLN 8th & 9th Spell Training Schedule, Venues
