Andhra Pradesh is preparing for Simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections (25 and 175 seats, respectively) on May 13, with the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) facing off against a coalition of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the Jana Sena Party. The YSRCP suffers anti-incumbency sentiments, especially in metropolitan areas. However, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy aims to return to power by capitalising on the popularity of the government’s direct benefit transfer (DBT) initiatives. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the 74-year-old TDP president, is counting on the notion that growth has halted under Jagan’s leadership.AP Election Survey Polls Results
