The Vehicle’s Specifications

If you participate in the Amma two-wheeler scheme, your vehicle must meet the following specifications:

  • The maximum engine capacity is 125cc.
  • Under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988, the vehicle must be eligible for registration.
  • The vehicle must have been manufactured after January 1, 2018 and must meet the most recent emission standards.
  • The Project Director (PD), Tamilnadu State Rural Livelihoods Mission (TNSRLM) of the respective District will compile/collect information on all vehicles provided under this scheme.
  • The information will also be shared with the Transport Department, which will not allow a change in registration of ownership due to sale or other considerations for a period of three years without the prior permission of the PD, TNSRLM.

New Amma Two Wheeler School Update

The Amma Two Wheeler Scheme has a small number of beneficiaries. As a result, the Greater Chennai Corporation has requested that working women also benefit from this scheme. The Chennai Corporation will also provide Rs. 25000 or 50% of a two-wheeler to working women under this scheme. According to a Chennai corporation official, the government’s goal is to provide subsidies to approximately 9519 working women each year. Previously, 10500 applicants were sanctioned, and 9515 applications are currently being reviewed. The target for this year has been reduced to 6062, with only 7000 women receiving the benefit.

Amma Two Wheeler Scheme Eligible Beneficiaries

The Tamil Nadu government has a list of eligible beneficiaries under the Amma Two-Wheeler Scheme in addition to the eligibility criteria. These are some examples:

  • To apply for Modi Scooty Yojana 2022, eligible candidates must first download the application form. Three forms must be downloaded. First, fill out the Scooter Application Form, then the Field Verification Form, and finally the Subsidy Claim Form.
  • Fill out the Application Form with all of the necessary information. After completing the application form, submit it to the respective Block Offices / Urban Local Bodies.
  • After receiving your Amma Scooter Scheme Application, related Block Offices / Urban Local Bodies will conduct field verification to determine whether you are eligible for the scheme.
  • After you have completed all of the procedures, the Tamil Nadu government will select you as a beneficiary of the Modi Scooty Scheme.
