Important Note:
1. TOEFL practice and tests are to be conducted in schools equipped with Smart TVs or IFPs (Interactive Flat Panels).
2. Sample papers are provided for practice.
Directions for TOEFL Exam 2024
READING:
Primary Level – Classes: 3 to 5
- This section measures the ability to read and understand texts written in English.
- The first four questions (1 to 4) focus on vocabulary, and the next four questions (6 to 8) involve action words.
- Pictures will be given with three options. Students should choose the correct option and put it in the bracket.
Junior Level – Classes: 6th to 9th
- In this section, students will read questions based on language items and texts to answer them.
- They should choose the correct answer for each question and put the letter of the correct answer in the bracket.
LISTENING:
- This section measures the ability to listen and understand English.
- Students will hear talks, discussions, etc., and listen to the given audios carefully to put the letter of the correct answer in the bracket. (Both Primary & Junior Levels.
LANGUAGE FORMS AND MEANINGS: Junior Level – Classes: 8th & 9th
- This section measures the ability to demonstrate proficiency in enabling English skills such as grammar and vocabulary in contexts.
- Each question contains three possible ways to complete a sentence.
- Students should mark the letter of the correct answer and put it in the bracket.
Instructions for Head Masters / Teachers
All the Headmasters and Teachers should ensure that:
- TOEFL practice should be given every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. In the case of the Second Saturday, it may be conducted on Friday of the week.
- Question papers / Practice papers and audio clips for practicing and testing are provided to Smart TVs / IFPs through Mobile Device Management (MDM) app to display and practice them as many times as possible.
- All District Educational Officers (DEOs), Deputy Educational Officers (Dy.EOs), and Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) are instructed to send the proceedings as per the given guidelines to implement the TOEFL in all Government Management Schools where Smart TVs / IFPs are available.
- All Monitoring Officers should observe the TOEFL practice classes during their visits.
