Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 is an Indian legislation that was passed by the Parliament of India on December 28, 2016, and came into force from April 19, 2017. The Act replaces the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995, and is in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which India ratified in 2007.
Disabilities Reservation 4% in AP job recruitment
According to Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016- Comprehensive Orders-Issued, the Department for Women, Children, Differently Abled and Senior Citizens is providing a 4% reservation in appointment and in promotions in every government establishment in favor of benchmark disabilities.

ORDINANCE:-
In accordance with section 36 of the People with Disabilities (Equal Opportunity Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act
Act of 1995 (Central Act No. 1 of 1996), the government has issued comprehensive orders via G.O. 1st read above to provide three percent (3%) reservation for persons or a class of persons with disabilities in case of direct recruitment, of which one percent shall be reserved for persons suffering from (a) blindness or low vision; (b) hearing impairment; (c) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. As a result, directives were issued by G.O. 2nd read above designating three percent (3%) of vacancies in cases of direct recruitment for individuals or classes of individuals with disabilities, and Rule-22 of the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, has undergone the appropriate change. In addition, a change was made to the G.O. 1st read above in the G.O. 3rd read to substitute “blindness or low vision (Open)” at the roster point 6 and “blindness or low vision (Women)” at the roster point 106.
