NVS Recruitment 2026 online notification and registration form for various teaching positions have been posted by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Candidates who meet the requirements can submit their online applications through the NVS website. 2200 positions are open for TGT, PGT, Principal, and other teaching positions. There are 2200 posts total, of which 584 are for the North-Eastern region, and the remaining 1616 are for other states.

NVS Recruitment 2026 – Examination Schedule
NVS Special Recruitment Drive for JNV in North Eastern Region. The Test for TGT will be conducted on November 28 from 9 am to 12 pm, and for the category of Teachers, the Test will be held on November 30 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Eligibility Criteria for NVS Recruitment 2026
The following are the post-specific eligibility requirements to meet to be considered for the positions:
Principal
Candidates must have a postgraduate degree with a B.Ed or any equivalent teaching degree and a minimum score of 60%.
PGT
Candidates must have completed a two-year postgraduate integrated course in any subject with a minimum grade point average of 50%. (or) Candidates must have earned a Master’s degree in any subject with a minimum grade point average of 50%. As well as a B.Ed.
TGT
Candidates must have completed a four-year integrated degree programme with a minimum grade point average of 50%.
Music Instructor
Candidates must have completed 5 years of study at a music institute. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in music. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with a music master exam.
Art Instructor
Candidates must have a degree in Drawing / Painting / Sculpture / Graphic Arts / Crafts in any discipline of Arts and a 4th-year diploma. Candidates must have completed Class -10 and a 5th-year Diploma in Drawing/ Painting/ Sculpture/ Graphic Arts/ Crafts.
PET
Candidates must have completed a B.P.Ed.
Librarian
A bachelor’s degree in library science is required. (or) Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a one-year diploma.
