AP G.O.RT.No. 305, Govt. Junior Colleges Renewal of Contract Faculty for the Academic year 2015-16

1. Andhra Pradesh is having 439 Government Junior Colleges in which 4835 (General) and 1246(Vocational) Junior Lecturer posts are sanctioned. Besides that, 5 Govt. Junior Colleges in merger area of Khammam District are allotted to Andhra Pradesh State out of which 65 (General) Junior Lecturer posts are allocated.   Thus there is 6146 Junior Lecturer posts (General+Vocational) sanctioned/allocated to Andhra Pradesh State. Out of which 1770 Junior Lecturers (1678(GEN)+92(Voc.)) are working and 4376 Junior Lecturer posts are vacant. For these vacant posts 3732 Contract Faculty (3027 (GEN) and 705 (Voc.) are working.   He therefore requested  the  Government to  issue  necessary  orders  on  renewal  of  the Contract Faculty working in Government Junior Colleges for the academic year 2015-2016 at an early date, so as to facilitate the Department to take steps for renewal of Contract Faculty with effect from re-opening of the Government Junior Colleges.
2. Government,  after  careful  examination  of  the  proposal  of  the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, AP, Hyderabad hereby accord permission to the Commissioner of Intermediate Education, AP, Hyderabad for continuation of the services of 3732 contract faculty for the period from the day of reopening of Junior Colleges/Vocational colleges for the academic year 2015-16 till 31-12-2015, subject to terms and conditions.
3. The Commissioner of Intermediate Education, AP, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly.
4. This orders issues with the concurrence of Finance (HR.I) Department, dated vide their U.O.No.6591/210/A3/HR.I/15, dated 19-6-2015.
