RULES: 1. SHORT TITLE AND APPLICATION 2025:
i)These rules shall be called as the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) Rules for the posts of Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Physical Directors (PDs) and
Physical Education Teachers (PET) Scheme of Selection Rules, 2025. AP DSC PGT -TGT – Principal Post Recruitment.
ii) These Rules shall apply to all the categories of Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in AP Model Schools and MJPAPBCWREIS; Principals, Post Graduate Teachers
(PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APREIS; Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APSWREIS; and Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Physical Directors (PDs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APTWREIS (Gurukulam) Schools in Andhra Pradesh and such other categories of teacher posts in such other schools as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
iii) These Rules Shall Come into Force with immediate Effect From The Date of issuance of These orders.
2. DEFINITIONS: In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) “Appointing Authority” means.
(i) The Secretary, APREI Society in respect of posts of Principals, PGTs, TGTs and PETs in AP Residential Schools.
(ii)The Secretary, MJPAPBCWREI Society in respect of posts of Principals, PGTs and TGTs in BC welfare Residential Schools.
(iii)The Secretary, AP Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society in respect of posts of TGTs and PETs in AP Social Welfare Residential Schools.
(iv)The Secretary, AP Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (Gurukulam) in respect of posts of PGTs, TGTs, PDs and PETs in AP Tribal Welfare (Gurukulam) Residential Schools.
(v)The Commissioner/ Director of School Education, AP Model Schools, Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh in respect of posts of Principals in AP Model Schools.
(vi)The Regional Joint Director of School Education of concerned Zone in respect of PGT and TGT posts in AP Model Schools.
(2)“Collector” means an officer in-charge of erstwhile Revenue District;
(3) “Commissioner/ Director of School Education” means the in-charge of General Education and also includes the competent authority to conduct teacher recruitment for different departments in the State;
(4) “District” means Erstwhile District;
(5) “Government” means the Government of Andhra Pradesh State.
(6) “Malpractice” means – an examinee appearing for the written test (Computer based Test), seeking the unauthorized help from any person in any manner or from any material or from any source whatsoever or
the unauthorized use of any telephonic, wireless or electronic or other instrument of gadget in any manner, as described in the Andhra Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Malpractices and unfair means) Act,
1997 (Act 25 of 1997).
(7) “Medium of Instruction” means the language through which subjects other than languages are taught.
(8) “NCTE” means National Council for Teacher Education.
(9) “School” means AP Model Schools or AP Residential Schools or MJPAP BC Welfare Residential Schools or AP Social Welfare Residential Schools or AP Tribal Welfare Residential Schools (Gurukulam).
(10) “Secretary, APREI Society” means the Officer in-charge of AP Residential Schools in the State.
(11) “Secretary, MJPAPBCWREI Society” means the Officer in-charge of MJPAPBC Welfare Residential Schools in the State.
(12) “Secretary, APTWREI Society” means the Officer in-charge of AP Tribal Welfare Residential Schools in the State.
(13) “Secretary, APSWREI Society” means the Officer in-charge of AP Social Welfare Residential Schools in the State.
(14) “Society” means and includes MJPAPBCWREI Society, APTWREI Society, APSWREI Society, APREIS Society and AP Model Schools
Society.
(15) “State” means Andhra Pradesh State.
(16) “UGC” means University Grants Commission constituted under the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (Central Act No. 3 of 1956).
(17) “Zone” means as prescribed in Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (OLC&RDR) Order (Presidential Order) 1975.
RECRUITMENT:
The Recruitment shall be Through a selection process consisting of Computer Based Test (CBT) and other criteria Stipulated by the Government From Time To Time. AP DSC PGT -TGT – Principal Post Recruitment
(i)Principals:
a) Paper – I: Qualifying in nature – English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks.
b) The candidates should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
c) Paper – II: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks.
(ii)Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs):
a) Paper – I: Qualifying in nature – English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks for Non Language Teacher posts.
b) The candidates of Non-Language PGT Posts should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
c) PGT-Non-Language Posts: Paper – II, Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks.
d) PGT-Language Posts: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks and there will be no English Language Proficiency Test. AP DSC PGT -TGT – Principal Post Recruitment
e) There is no TET for the posts of PGT.
(iii) Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs):
a) Paper – I: Qualifying in nature- English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks for Non Language Teacher posts.
b) The candidates of Non-Language TGT Posts should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
c) TGT – Non Language Posts: Paper II, the total marks shall be 100, out of which 80 marks shall be for the Written Test (Computer Based Test) (80%) and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET
(20%) Weightage.
d) TGT-Language Posts: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 80 marks and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%)
Weightage. There is no English Language Proficiency Test.
(iv) Physical Director (PD) and Physical Education Teachers (PET): The total marks shall be 100 for the written test (Computer based Test). There is no TET and English Language Proficiency Test for these posts.
