ORDER:

directives were issued to revise the House Rent Allowance (HRA) rates in the reference first read above, superseding the directives from the GOMS No. 1 Fin (PC-TA) Department dated 17.01.2022. AP District Headquarters HRA Enhancement to 16%

According to the reference 2nd read above, the government has published the final Gazette Notifications relating to the restructuring of the State’s existing districts and revenue divisions. Restructured districts’ district headquarters include Parvathipuram, Paderu, Amalapuram, Bhimavaram, Bapatla, Narsaraopeta, Puttaparthy, and Rayachoty.

The district headquarters indicated above do not meet the demographic Parameters required for HRA sanction @ 16%, and HRA is permitted at 12% in PRC 2022.

4. According to the reference 3 that was just read, the employees who work in the aforementioned District headquarters have asked to have the HRA at 16% extended to all District headquarters in the State, with the demographic parameters being relaxed, on the model of the (13) former District headquarters.

After carefully considering the situation, the government has decided to increase the House Rent Allowance (HRA) for the district offices of Parvathipuram Paderu, Amalapuram Bhimavaram Bapatia, Narsaropeta Puttaparthy, and Rayachoty from the current 125% to 16%.

All other Terms & Conditions Relating to House Rent Allowance (HRA) Mentioned in the Reference 1 Read above Shall Remain Applicable.

Necessary Amendments to the AP Public Employment (House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988 shall be

issued separately
