Process For Web Counselling
Candidates must pay the counselling fee of Rs. 5000 by DD at the time of counselling (choice filling).
Candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses from the list.
There will be two rounds of choice filling.
Candidates who are selected in the first round of counselling and wish to change their course of study or college may do so, on the basis of merit list, in the second round.
Candidates who have not participated in the first counselling at their assigned colleges can nonetheless exercise their web options at the second counselling.
When a candidate slides to another college at their option, their allocated seat in the first round of counselling is automatically cancelled.
Seat Allotment:
The authority will publish the list of candidates who are given seats in the MBBS/BDS programmes after a few days of choice-filling.
The distribution of seats will be based on the All India Rank, choices that were selected, category, and seat availability.
Reservation Criteria
Local candidates will be given preference for admission to the 85% of state-required seats. Details of the reservation criteria are provided here
Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST)
The candidates from the SC category will be given a 15% seat preference.
Candidates who fall under the ST category will be given 6% of the available seats.
The candidate from the SC category will fill any ST category seats that are still open, and vice versa.
The seats shall go to candidates from the general category if candidates from the SC & ST categories are not available.
Candidates for the SC & ST categories should only be residents of the Andhra Pradesh state, as designated by the AP government.
