Republic Day Celebrations – School Children Competitions Games Rc 3

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education /District Educational Officers in the State are informed that, it is decided to celebrate the Republic Day on 26-01-2019 across the State in a befitting manner. As a part of it, the following competitions have to be conducted at school, complex, mandal, divisional and district Levels in all schools on account Republic Day on 26-01-2019 and gifts awarded to the winners :

  1. Essay Writing
  2. Poems reading
  3.  Painting 
  4. Drawing 
  5. Elocution 
  6. Songs (Desabhaksthi Geethalu) 
  7. Sports & Games

The following headmasters / officers are hereby appointed to act as Nodal Officers at various levels and Deputy Educational Officers and Mandal Educational Officers should coordinate at school, complex, mandal and divisional levels.



Stage / Level -Nodal Officer

1. School Level – Headmaster –
2 Complex Level – Complex Headmaster
3. Mandal Level – Mandal Educational Officer
4. Divisional Level -Dy. Educational Officer
5. District Level – District Educational Officer

The following sports have to be conducted at school, complex, Mandal, Divisional and District Levels.

Out of the following sports, at least three sports have to be conducted to the students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classes at school level. At school level, Headmaster of the concerned school and at complex level complex headmaster should conduct these activities:

1. Hopping, 2. Lemon & spoon, 3. Plucking the Tail, 4. Skipping and 5. 25 mts run

Out of the following sports, at least three sports have to be conducted to the students of 4 & 5 Classes at school, complex, mandal, divisional and district levels in the prescribed schedule. These sports should be organised by the Headmaster at School level, Complex Headmaster at Complex level, Mandal Educational Officer at Mandal level and Deputy Educational Officer at divisional level and Deputy Educational Officer, Headquarters at district level.

These sports should be organised by the Headmaster at School level, Complex Headmaster at Complex level, Mandal Educational Officer at Mandal level and Deputy Educational Officer at divisional level and Deputy Educational Officer, Headquarters at district level.

1 Kabbadi, 2. Kho-kho, 3. Basket Ball, 4. Volley Ball, 5. Hockey, 6. Football, 7. Handball, 8. Ball Badminton, 9. Chess, 10. Shuttle, 11. Discuss Throw, 12. Shot Put, 13. Javelin, 14. Long Jump, 15. High Jump, 16. 100 Mts Run. 17. 200 mts Run, 18. 400 mts run and 19.4 x 100 Relay.

Out of the following sports, at least five sports have to be conducted for the students of 9th & 10th Classes at school, complex, Mandal and district levels as per schedule. These sports should be organised by the Headmaster at School level, Complex Headmaster at Complex level, Mandal Educational Officer at Mandal level and Deputy Educational Officer at divisional level and Deputy Educational Officer, Headquarters at district level.

The following procedure may be adopted in conducting the sports ie., the details of winners at school level to Complex Headmaster, complex level to Mandal Educational Officer, Mandal level to Dy. Educational Officer to conduct Divisional Level and divisional level to Deputy Educational Officer, Headquater of the district. The Deputy Educational Officer at Headquarter level should organise the competitions at district level after Sankranthi holidays and submit the details to the District Educational Officer.

Gifts should be awarded to winners in each and every stage. The expenditure may be met from the SSA funds and donations received donors. The guidelines should be followed in the handbooks of SSA distributed to all Schools in the State. The winners of Janmabhomi programme also may be selected for District Level Competitions.

They are therefore requested to take all necessary steps to conduct the above activities in all schools and sports in all levels as mentioned above without any deviations and also conduct speeches on the topics of Mahatma Gandhiji Principles and important events on his life as per given action plan. The Headmasters, Complex Headmasters, Mandal Educational and Deputy Educational Officers are accountable at various levels to organise the above activities / events, if any negligence is observed at any level, necessary disciplinary action will be initiated by the department against them.

The Regional Joint Directors of School Education and all District Educational Officers in the State are also requested to issue necessary instructions to all Headmasters / Head of the Educational Institutions to host the National Flag at the respective Institutions and explain the significance of the Republic Day on 26-01- 2019.
