About Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board
Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972 established the Gujarat Board, which administers the state level exam. The main academic task of the GSEB is to prepare secondary school curriculam and to recommend textbooks for use in both government and registered private schools. The Board is also in charge of recognizing new schools, evaluating school performance, and inspecting various schools.
