Candidates must complete 10+2/XII or its equivalent with Accountancy as a subject and proficiency in Computer with typing speed @ 35 w.p.m. in English or @ 30 w.pm. in Hindi.
Junior Secretariat Assistant (Stores & Purchase):
Candidates must complete 10+2/XII or its equivalent and proficiency in Computer with typing speed @ 35 w.p.m. in English or @ 30 w.pm. in Hindi.
Junior Stenographer:
Candidates must complete 10+2/XII or its equivalent and speed of 80 w.p.m. in shorthand in English /Hindi.
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be maximum 27 years for Junior Stenographer, 28 years for the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant . Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Salary:
Selected candidates will get pay on an average of Rs.30,830/- PM for Junior Secretariat Assistant, Rs. 40,353/- by the recruiting organization
Selection Procedure:
Candidates to the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant, Junior Stenographer has been selected based on their performance in the written test, Computer Proficiency test followed by an interview.
Junior Secretariat Assistant :
While the proficiency in computer typing speed and in using computer is only qualifying in nature, the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of the candidates in the Competitive Written Examination.
The merit list will only comprise those candidates who have qualified the proficiency test in Computer typing.
There will be two papers in the written competitive examination (Paper-I and Paper-II). Paper I is qualifying in nature.
The Paper II will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in the Paper I and Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper II.

Proficiency Test in Stenography

About Central Salt & Marine Chemical Research Institute:-
India had been an importer of salt for a long time as her own production was not sufficient to meet the demand. The position deteriorated further after partition, when the extensive rock salt deposits in the Punjab and the marine salt works in Sind went to Pakistan. Soon after the attainment of independence in 1947, India was faced with the problem of meeting the acute shortage of edible salt in various parts of the country.
The Government set up an interdepartmental committee under the chairmanship of Shri H.M. Patel, who was then the Cabinet Secretary, to examine and report on the measures for overcoming the shortage of salt. The committee submitted several short term proposals to the Government and also recommended that a Salt Expert Committee should be appointed to investigate into the problems relating to the production, quality and utilization of salt.
