Cabinet clears proposal to hike honorarium for Anganwadi
workers
The pay hike will cost the exchequer around Rs.106.5
billion. It will be applicable from 1 October 2018 to 31 March 2020. The
honorarium for Anganwadi workers has been increased from Rs.3,000 per month to
Rs.4,500 per month. For Anganwadi workers at mini-centres and Anganwadi
helpers, it has been hiked from Rs.2,250 to Rs.3,500 and Rs.1,500 to Rs.2,250,
respectively.
