Arogya Lakshmi Scheme 2023 Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao launched the program to provide nutritious food to pregnant and lactating women and children in the state in order to reduce malnutrition and anemia among them, the Minister said during question hour in the Legislative Assembly here on Tuesday. One hot-cooked nutritious meal was provided to women and children every day of the year as part of the Arogya Lakshmi program. She stated that, in addition to the Central Government’s component of the supplementary nutrition program, the State Government was providing additional food through Arogya Lakshmi.

According to the Minister, the Arogya Lakshmi scheme has benefited 4,65,805 pregnant and lactating women, 10,43,419 children (aged 7 months to 3 years), and 6,74,336 children (aged 3 years to 6 years).
Concerning the salary revision of Anganwadi teachers, she stated that the State government has strengthened Anganwadi by providing necessary support. Anganwadi teachers were currently paid an honorarium of Rs 10,500 per month. The Centre contributed only Rs. 2,700, while the State government contributed Rs. 7,800. Similarly, Aya salary was paid in full by the Centre, with the State contributing Rs. 4,650.
“If 30% PRC is implemented, teacher salaries will rise to around Rs.13,600, and Ayas salary will rise from Rs.6,000 to Rs.7,800,” Satyavathi Rathod said.

The Telangana government has allocated Rs. 1110.89 crore to the Arogya Lakshmi scheme until August 2021. How to Apply for Telangana Arogya Lakshmi Scheme
Anganwadi Workers (AWW), Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA), and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) shall identify the target group and ensure early registration of pregnant women and enrollment of pregnant and lactating women in Anganwadi Centres (AWCs).
Furthermore, AWWs will conduct house-to-house visits to survey, identify, and create a list of the target group. During Village Health and Nutrition Day, all pregnant and lactating women will be given Mother-Child Protection (MCP) cards.
The Panchayat / Anganwadi Level Monitoring and Supported Committee (ALMSC), in collaboration with Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and health field functionaries, will raise awareness and mobilize pregnant and lactating women to receive the “One Full Meal” as well as other health and nutrition services at AWCs.
