1.Whereas, by section 101 of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act, 2014 (Central Act No.6 of 2014), the appropriate Government i.e., the State of Telangana is empowered by order, to make such adaptation and modifications of any law made before 02-06-2014, whether by way of repeal or amendment as may be necessary or expedient, for the purpose of facilitating the application of such law in the State of Telangana, before expiration of two years from 02-06-2014, and thereupon every such law shall have effect subject to the adaptation and modifications so made, until altered, repealed or amended by a competent Legislature or other competent authority;

 2. And whereas, the Rules relating to admission of students into Elementary Teacher Training Institutes / District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) through Common Entrance Test Rules, 2013 made under the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act, 1983 (A.P. Act No.5 of 1983) vide G.Os 2nd& 3rd read above are in force as on 01-06-2014.

3. And whereas, after careful examination and keeping in view the circumstances stated by the Director of School Education, Telangana, Hyderabad vide reference 4th read above, the Government have decided to adapt the said Rules relating to admission of students into Elementary Teacher Training Institutes / District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) through Common Entrance Test Rules, 2013 which are inforce as on 01.06.2014, so as to facilitate its application to the State of Telangana.

4. Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the Telangana Gazette:

NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 101 of the A.P. Reorganisation Act, 2014 (Central Act 6 of 2014), the Government of Telangana hereby adapt Rules relating to admission of students into Elementary Teacher Training Institutes / District Institutes of Education and Training (DIET) through Common Entrance Test Rules, 2013 issued in G.O.Ms.No.63, Education (PE.Prog.II) Dept., dated:28-10-2013 read with G.O.Ms.No. 22, Education (PE.Prog.II) Dept. dated: 29-5-2014 as amended from time to time, which are in force as on 01.06.2014 to the State of Telangana with the following modifications so as to facilitate its application to the State of Telangana:-

1. 1) In the said Rules, for the words “Andhra Pradesh”, occurring throughout the rules otherwise than in a title or citation or description etc., the word “Telangana” shall be substituted. 
2. 2) It shall be deemed to come into force w.e.f. 02-06-2014. 
3. 3) In rule 7(i), under the sub-heading “(A) Local Areas Means ”the Paragraphs (2) and (3) shall be deleted.
4. 4) In rule 7(iii), under the sub-heading “(5) Reservation of seats for the candidates sponsored by Other State Government/ Union Territories”, the entries “D.I.E.T. Vomaravalli, Srikakulam District, D.I.E.T. Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam, D.I.E.T. Karvetinagar, Chittoor District” shall be deleted.
