Eligibility Criteria for Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2022
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must complete Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English Typing on Computer
- Knowledge of Computer operation
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be in between 18 to 30 years as on 01-07-2022. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Salary:
Selected candidates will get pay according to Pay level 6 (Rs. 35,400/-) by the recruiting organization.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates to the posts of Junior Court Assistant has been selected based on their performance in the written test and interview.
Important points to be noted:
Stage 1: Stage 1 test is of objective type question paper consists of 100 questions (50 questions from General English an 25 questions from General Aptitude, 25 questions from General Knowledge). Duration of the test is of 2 hours. For every wrong answer 1/4 of the mark will be deducted.
Stage 2: Stage 2 is of Objective Type Computer Knowledge Test which consists of 25 questions.
Stage 3: Stage 3 is of Typing test on computers. Candidates must have minimum typing speed of 35 w.p.m on computers with no mistakes.
Stage 4: Descriptive Test (in English Language) which includes a Comprehension passage, Precis Writing and Essay Writing
Stage 5: Qualified candidates in the written test are allowed to appear for an interview.

General category candidates must pay fee of Rs. 500/-, Rs. 250/- for reserved category candidates. Fee must be payable through online mode.

About Supreme Court of India:
Supreme Court of India came into existence on 26th January, 1950 and is located on Tilak Marg, New Delhi. The Supreme Court of India functioned from the Parliament House till it moved to the present building. It has a 27.6 metre high dome and a spacious colonnaded verandah. On the 28th of January, 1950, two days after India became a Sovereign Democratic Republic, the Supreme Court came into being. The inauguration took place in the Chamber of Princes in the Parliament building which also housed India’s Parliament, consisting of the Council of States and the House of the People. It was here, in this Chamber of Princes, that the Federal Court of India had sat for 12 years between 1937 and 1950. This was to be the home of the Supreme Court for years that were to follow until the Supreme Court acquired its own present premises.
