Sahakar Mitra Scheme 2023:The corporation has launched the Sahakar Mitra Internship Scheme to promote summer internship programmes. These summer internships will provide applicants who have enrolled in the scheme with work-related learning experiences. These learning opportunities will be related to NCDC’s special fields. Sahakar Mitra Scheme’s Highlights

 Here are some key points of this scheme to consider in order to better understand this initiative:

• It provides interns with financial assistance for four months. For the duration of the internship, a total of Rs. 45,000 is offered.
• Those who qualify can sign up for this scheme on the NCDC’s official website.
• A total of 60 interns will be trained.
• In the regional office, no more than two interns may be present at the same time. Only two interns from a specific institution will be recommended in a year.
• An intern who has been chosen cannot be re-selected.
• The internship cannot be taken by the same person more than once.
• The Head of Department of the ICAR / AICTE / UGC recognised institutes and universities will make recommendations to the Chief Director LINAC or the Regional Director NCDC, or the Head of HR Division in the HO of NCDC.
• Potential interns will be shortlisted by committees agreed upon by MD based on biodata evaluation and recommendations from sponsoring institutes.
• Interns will be assigned to ROs, LINACs, or HOs based on their preferences and NCDC requirements.
• Interns will be supervised by a Mentor who will provide assistance, orientation, and special assignments.

Criteria for Eligibility

• The applicant must be an Indian permanent resident.
• Applicants must hold a graduate degree from an accredited college or university.
• Other professional degree or course holders, such as those with an MBA in Agribusiness,
• Cooperative Finance, International Trade, Forestry, or Project Management, will be eligible to apply for this scheme as well.

• You must submit the internship application form and recommendation letter online.
• The recommendation letter can be obtained from the department head at a UGC/AICTE/ICAR-accredited university.
• The committees will choose interns based on their bios and recommendation letters.
  Placement will occur at HO, LINAC, or MOs.
• A mentor will oversee the intern and provide guidance as well as special assignments.
  The interns have agreed not to publish the findings of the study.

Selection of the Sahakar Mitra Scheme:

• A person’s internship cannot last longer than four months. An individual can only be hired as an intern once.
• The Head of Department of the UGC / AICTE / ICAR approved Universities / Institutions, as applicable, can make a recommendation to the Regional Director NCDC or Chief Director LINAC or Head of HR Division at HO of NCDC. Only applications submitted online will be accepted.
• Prospective interns will be shortlisted by committees, as directed by MD, based on a review of their bio-data and recommendations from the sponsoring institutions.
• Interns will be assigned to HOs, LINACs, and ROs based on their preferences and NCDC’s needs.
• An officer designated as a ‘Mentor’ will supervise the intern and provide orientation, guidance, special assignments, and other SIP-related activities.
• Interns at RO are expected to focus on a cooperative and create a business plan/project report on the cooperative society’s commercial growth. The intern will submit a written report with a detailed description of the work performed within two weeks of completing his or her internship. He or she will demonstrate the knowledge gained and how he or she intends to apply it in the future.
• The intern’s business plan/project report/detailed report will become the property of NCDC, and the intern will have no claim to its use in any way.
• The intern’s study, research, and analysis findings are not to be published.
  NCDC accepts no responsibility for any action or inaction, the outcomes of the intern’s business plan/project report/detailed report, or any actions taken by him/her during SIP.
