Project Assistant – 1 Post
Name of the Project: Clinical phenotypes and genetic regulation of endometriosis in Indian women (ECGRI study)
Duration of the Project: 1 year
Eligibility Criteria for NIRRCH Recruitment 2022
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess Graduation in biological Sciences from a recognized university with three years of work experience from a recognized institution or Master’s degree in biological sciences.
Experience:
Candidates must have minimum one year of research experience from reputed institute/university. Experience of counseling patients, working experience in Hospital/Clinic Proficiency in internet applications & communication skills. Experience of molecular biology techniques will be preferred. Candidates residing in Trivandrum and nearby areas will be given preference
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be maximum 30 years. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
To assist the Collaborator in preparation of all necessary documents required for Ethics Committee, progress reports etc. under the supervision of Collaborator at participating study site.
Coordination of project activities and implementation of project at participating study site.
To assist the Collaborator for recruitment of study participants, data collection, data entry, quality control etc.
To conduct the experimental wok of the study including blood separation, labelling and monitor the storage of clinical samples.
To assist collaborator for timely transportation of copies of data collection instruments, timely entry of data into electronic database and transportation of samples to ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai by designated courier company.
Participate in video/telephone meeting with PI, Collaborators in abroad and Research team at all participating study sites to review the progress and ensure adherence to protocol.
To provide regular compliance to Research team at PI laboratory at ICMR-NIRRH for maintaining the centralized clinical and genomic database at ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai
To assist in any other work related to the project or other scientific/technical activities
Pay for NIRRCH Recruitment 2022
Selected candidates will get pay on an average of around Rs. 20,000/- + 16% HRA by the recruiting organization.
Selection Procedure for NIRRCH Recruitment 2022:
Candidates to the posts of NIRRCH has been selected on the basis of performance of the candidates in the written test or interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted to Interview process based on their academic merit
No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
Written test in the subject area will be held, if required to shortlist candidate of the interview on the same day depending upon the number of candidate
The Director & appointing authority has the right to accept/reject any application without assigning any reason and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained

About NIRRCH:
The institute began its journey as a family planning unit in 1954 at the ICRC (Later named as Cancer Research Unit). In 1956, the unit was reorganized as the Contraceptive Testing Unit (CTU). Within 5 years of its inception, the Institute broadened the spectrum of its activities and was therefore renamed as Reproductive Physiology Unit (RPU). During 1956-62, the unit was shifted thrice to accommodate its need for more space.
