Eligibility Criteria for Goa Electricity Department Recruitment 2022

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must complete ITI in Wireman/ Electrician course with Experience in working on construction of Electrical lines for a minimum period of 2 years
Knowledge of Konkani and Marathi languages.
Candidates who have applied for the post of Line Helper in response to the advertisement dated:-30/12/2021 of this Department, may not apply again

Age Limit:

Candidates age must not exceed 45 years as on 15-06-2022

Salary:

Selected candidates will get pay according to Pay level 1 by the recruiting organization.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates to the posts of Line Helper has been selected based on their academic merit and certificate verification process

Important points to be noted:

The shortlisting shall be made based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination from each category as per seat details mentioned above.
The shortlisted candidates, as per merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, shall be called for document verification process or interview.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC shall produce their caste certificate in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority applicable for jobs under Government of India, during document verification.
PWD candidates are eligible only for the designated trades as per apprenticeship rules and has to submit the PWD certificate.
Candidates have to produce their valid ID Card, i.e., AADAAR / PAN / Voters ID / Driving License / Certificate Issued by Educational Institute, during document verification.
Final selection of the candidates will be made after verification of documents.

About Goa Electricity Department

The Electricity Department was created as a Govt. Department in the year 1963. The Electricity Department is the only licensee in the state of Goa for transmission and distribution of Electrical Energy.

The Department does not have its own generation and purchases power from the Central Sector Power Stations of the National Thermal Power Corporation as per the allocation made by the Central Government. The Total allocation of power from the NTPC is 332 MW.
