Eligibility Criteria for Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2022
Educational Qualification:
Developer:
Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech/ MCA with specialization in Computers/ Electronics & 3 years of experience in Software Development.
Technical Assistant:
Candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech/ M.Sc with specialization in Computers/ Electronics/ IT with knowledge in Server Administration/ LAN/ DBA/ Technical Trouble Shooting and support in Hardware
Proof of Residency:
Candidates must have valid registration number of Employment exchange for the state of Assam.
Age Limit:
Candidates age must be in between 18 to 40 years. Age is reckoned as on 30-06-2022. Age is relaxable for reserved category candidates.
Salary:
Selected candidates will get pay by the recruiting organization as follows:
Senior Developer: Rs. 46,972/- PM
Technical Assistant: Rs. 26,353/- PM
Selection Procedure:
Candidates to the posts of Senior Developer, Technical Assistant has been selected based on their performance in the Screening Test, Written test followed by a Certificate verification process/ Interview
Important points regarding Selection test:
All the candidates who had applied for Developer, Technical Assistant must attend for written test and interview.
Screening test is of 120 marks. Duration is 2 hours. Candidates should secure at least 40% above marks in the screening test for shortlisting to written test. Marks obtained in the screening test will not be added to written test.
Each paper is of 120 marks. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks
Shortlisted candidates in the examination will be called for Viva-Voce. Viva Voce is of 20 marks.
Final merit list is prepared based on their performance in the written test and interview.
If two or more candidates will secure same marks in the examination. Then their shortlisting will depends upon the seniority of date of birth of both the candidates.
Application Fee:
General category candidates must pay fee of Rs. 300/-, Rs. 100/- for SC/ ST Category candidates. Fee must be payable through online mode.

About Gauhati High Court:
The High Court is a Constitutional Court in terms of Article 215. It is a Court of record and has all the powers of such Court including the power to punish for Contempt of itself and for Contempt of Courts Subordinate to it. Every High Court consist of a Chief Justice and such other Judges as the President of India from time to time deem it necessary.
At present, the sanctioned Judge strength of the Gauhati High Court is 24 including the Hon’ble Chief Justice and 6 Additional Judges. Every Judge including the Chief Justice is appointed by the President of India by warrant under his hand and seal. Every permanent Judge continues in office until he attains the age of 62 years. The Additional Judges are appointed for a period not exceeding two years taking into account the temporary increase in the business or arrears of work of the High Court. Such Judges shall also not hold office after attaining the age of 62 years.
