With the vision to emerge as a major R&D centre in the field of microwave tubes, Microwave Tube Research & Development Centre (MTRDC) was established in 1984. From a small room in the erstwhile Centre for Aeronautical Systems Studies & Analyses (CASSA), ADE Complex, Bangalore, in 1984 to a small accommodation in the premises of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bangalore in the year 1985, MTRDC got its main technical building within BEL Complex in 1992.
The proximity to the Microwave Tube Division of Bharat Electronics, facilitates continuous interaction between R&D and production teams for concurrent development of technologies and products to fulfil the radar and electronic warfare (EW) systems requirements of the Defence services. In 2011, the JC Bose Microwave Tube Facility was added to MTRDC’s technical accommodation. For the expansion of the lab, 2 acres of land has been acquired from BEL, and building construction has been initiated for which foundation stone laid by Secretary and DG, DRDO, on May 07, 2016.

Eligibility Criteria:
Interested Job Aspirants who are ready to apply for DRDO MTRDC Recruitment 2022 Notification must possess the below-given Eligibility Details.
Educational Qualification:
Research Associate: Candidate must have Ph.D or equivalent degree in Physics /Applied Physics/ Engineering on a Topic related to Microwave Engineering OR having 3 (Three) years of Research, Teaching, and Design & Development experience preferably in Microwave Engineering area after ME/M. Tech in Microwave Engineering with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed (SCI) journal.
Junior Research Fellow: Candidate must have Post graduate degree (M.Sc.) in Electronics/Applied Physics with First Division with NET qualification. OR
Graduate degree in professional course in (B.E/B.Tech) in Electronics/EI/ECE/ET/EEE Engineering in First Division with valid NET/GATE. OR
Post graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech) in Microwave/ Electronics/ Power Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates for DRDO MTRDCRecruitment 2022 will be:

Pay Scale:
Candidates selected for DRDO MTRDC Recruitment 2022 will get pay of
54,000/- PM plus House Rent allowance as per rules for Research Associate.
31,000/- PM plus House Rent allowance as per rules for Junior Research Fellow.
