Notification for the APPSC Departmental Examination in May 2024. The All India Service Officers Examinations and Language Tests (for those already in service), Telugu Proficiency Test for All India Service Officers working in the State of Andhra Pradesh, and Telugu Incentive Award Test for All India Service Officers working in States other than Andhra Pradesh will all take place in July 2024. In order to Reach the Commission office by or on June 28, 2024, Applications Must Be Filled in Advance Through the Heads of the Offices or Departments / Collectors under which A.I.S Probationers are employed.

In order for the Commission to make the Required Preparations for the Conduct of Examinations, Applicants Must also Submit their Applications in Advance Directly to the Commission with a Declaration that they have done so through the proper method.

However, applications should be sent through the Chief Secretary of the State in which the Officers are employed for the Incentive Award Test in Telugu for All India Service Officers working in States other than Andhra Pradesh.

It is required to submit separate application forms for the exams, proficiency test, and incentive award test in Telugu. You can get the application form and other information from the Commission’s website at https://psc.ap.gov.in.

ELIGIBILITY  DETAILS FOR THE APPSC Departmental Tests

To Appear for the APPSC Departmental Tests, employees Must Meet Certain Eligibility Criteria set by their Respective Departments. The Eligibility Criteria may vary Depending on the Specific department and the level of the Examination. Here are Some General Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Service Requirement: Employees are typically required to have a minimum length of service in their respective departments to be eligible for the departmental tests. The required service period may vary depending on the level and nature of the examination.
  2. Educational Qualifications: Employees must possess the educational qualifications specified by their respective departments for the particular departmental test they wish to appear for. The educational qualifications may vary based on the nature of the job and the level of the examination.
  3. Job Level and Category: Certain departmental tests may be specific to employees of particular job levels or categories within a department. Employees must belong to the designated job level or category to be eligible for those specific tests.
  4. Departmental Approval: In some cases, employees may require departmental approval or recommendation to appear for departmental tests. This ensures that the employee meets the necessary criteria and has the department’s support for the examination.

Scheme of Examination is as follows:

  1. Objective Type Tests: All tests, except Language and Survey Tests, will be conducted in an Objective Type format. These tests will require candidates to choose the correct answers from multiple-choice options.
  2. Language Test and Survey & Settlement Papers: The Language Test papers (P.C.Nos.5, 6, 7, 19, 28, 36,49, 67,37, 58, 74) and Survey & Settlement papers (P.C.Nos.69, 87, 109, 111, 116, 118, 120, 122, 133, 135, 161, 162, 163 and 164) will be conducted in a conventional mode. Candidates will need to provide descriptive answers for these papers.
  3. Computer Based Departmental Tests: All objective-type papers will be conducted through the Computer Based Departmental Tests. Candidates will be required to answer the questions using a computer-based interface.
  4. Mock Test Facility: Candidates appearing for Objective Type papers can utilize the Mock Test facility available on the Commission’s website. This will help them become familiar with the Computer Based Tests and the format of the examination.
  5. Conventional Papers: Candidates Appearing for Conventional Papers (Descriptive Exams) will Receive Answer Books with a Bar code Sheet Attached. These papers must be Answered using a Blue or Black Pen, as Specified.
