The Government of Andhra Pradesh has introduced the concept of NAVARATNALU as the core theme of governance in order to revamp government service delivery systems in order to improve people’s living standards. Job chart of Panchayat Secretary, specifically includes all the following functions in Addition to the Job chart issued vide G.O.Ms.No.149 .PR & RD(MdI.1) Department, Dt.30.09.2019.

Administrative Functions

  • The Panchayat Secretary will lead the Village Secretariat. The Panchayat Secretary is responsible for coordinating the Village Secretariat’s Functionaries and Gram Volunteers, as well as maintaining demographic profiles and scheme information. AP Panchayat Secretary Job Chart .

  • When a specific Functionary is on leave for a short period of time, the Panchayat Secretary shall make in-charge arrangements for receiving service requests/grievances.
  • The Panchayat Secretary Shall Ensure the Smooth Delivery of Services from Village Secretariats and the remittance of service charges by the Digital Assistant into the Designated Bank Account.
  • The Panchayat Secretary is Responsible for Maintaining the Movement Register and ensuring that all Village Secretariat Employees Record their Movements.
  • The Panchayat Secretary is Responsible for Carrying out Disciplinary proceedings Against any Village Secretariat Functionary initiated by Concerned line Departments.
  • The Village Secretariat Functionaries must Notify the Panchayat in advance.
  • While attending Mandal level/other meetings called by the higher authorities of respective line Departments.
  • The Panchayat Secretary shall ensure that all Village Secretariat employees wear uniforms.
  • The Panchayat Secretary shall assist the Higher Authorities in their inspections of the Panchayat.
  • Village Secretariat by providing them with the necessary information.
  • The Panchayat Secretary will coordinate activities related to service delivery and government schemes:
