AP Elections “Schools as Polling Stations Addressing Infrastructure

i. Proper restrooms, drinking water systems, cooking sheds, and electrification—including tube lights, fans, outlets, and switches—must be supplied in all schools that have been authorised for elections. Additionally, a ramp should be installed into the rooms set aside for the disabled population’s polling places.

ii. All of the Aforementioned needs are Adequately provided in Phase-I schools, and it is important to confirm and guarantee that all of the Facilities are Undamaged. If the facility requires maintenance, the Head Master must use SMF funds to fix and Maintain it by January 31, 2024, at the latest. In the event that the polling station room is not accessible by Ramp,shall be provided Using SMF Funds.

iii. Using Nadu Nedu Funds, the Necessary infrastructure, including the ramp, for Phase-II schools must be finished by no later than January 31, 2024. If Necessary, Money can be Moved for this Reason From Neighbouring schools. For the Nadu-Nedu designated polling sites, ramps can be built.

iv. Using SMF Funds, the necessary infrastructure and ramp for phase-III schools must be completed by no later than January 31, 2024.

3. As a result, all District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators in the State are directed to instruct the Head Masters of the affected schools to maintain all necessary infrastructure, including ramps, to the designated polling station rooms while properly attending to any necessary repairs. This must be done by January 31, 2024, and funds from the SMF and Nadu Nedu will be used to keep everything in working order. Sufficient furniture is supplied for schools in phases 1 and 2.

Furniture from Adjacent phase-1 and 2 Schools may be Arranged for Phase 3 Schools.If, After the Aforementioned date, any polling place is discovered to lack the Necessary Amenities, the Concerned Head Master will be held personally Accountable and Appropriate Action will be taken. Failure in Supervision will be held against the DEO and APC.

School Education Department has Been Directed by the Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh to Furnish the Necessary Facilities, such as Restrooms, drinking water systems, kitchen sheds, and Electricity, for the purpose of holding the 2024 elections in the assigned polling places within schools.
