The YSR Jagannath Amma Vodi Scheme is the name of this scheme. The scheme was created in June 2019 and went into effect on January 9, 2020. The YSR Amma Vodi Yojana is a flagship programme that enables poor families to easily obtain an education. The mother/legal guardian (in the absence of the mother) of the eligible student will receive Rs. 15,000 per year under this scheme. The financial assistance provided by the Amma Vodi scheme will assist parents in paying the tuition fee and sending their children to school despite financial constraints.

Amma Vodi Scheme 2022 Goal

  • The percentage of students who do not complete their secondary education is the initiative’s primary focus.
  • The school will provide everything from clothing to literature and even specialised meals.
  • The government’s first priority is education, with the goal of increasing the nation’s overall literacy rate.
  • Both this programme and the Jagananna Goru Mudda programme were created to improve existing school facilities and ensure that students have access to healthy lunch options while they are in school.
  • These programmes benefit a number of children throughout the state.

Jagananna Amma Vodi Benefits

Regardless of the number of children, the child’s mother will receive Rs.15,000 until the child/children complete class 12. Every year in January, Rs.15,000 is deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ savings bank accounts until the child/children complete class 12. However, Rs.1,000 will be deducted from the Rs.15,000 to improve and maintain the school’s toilet facilities.

It is given to mothers or a recognised guardian from low-income families to assist them in educating their children from Class 1 to Intermediate in all private aided and private unaided schools, recognised government schools, junior colleges, and residential colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the second phase of the Jagananna Amma Vodi, stating that many poor students in the state of AP do not have access to online classes due to a lack of gadgets such as computers, smartphones, or laptops during the lockdown.
